Why I Want to Visit

See Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Van Gogh in the cities where they created. Cycle between towns past windmills, cheese farms, and tulip fields in spring bloom.

Draft itinerary

A week to explore the compact but incredibly varied country:

Amsterdam (3 days) - The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House, canal cruises, and the Jordaan neighborhood
Haarlem (1 day) - A quieter, charming city with great cafes and the Frans Hals Museum
Keukenhof and Lisse (1 day) - The world-famous tulip gardens during spring bloom season
Utrecht (1 day) - Canal-side terraces, the Dom Tower, and a vibrant local food scene
Kinderdijk (1 day) - The iconic UNESCO windmill landscape and cycling through the polder countryside
