Sweden
“Lagom ar bast -- just the right amount is best.”— Swedish Proverb
A country that has elevated everyday living into an art form — fika culture, Scandinavian design, the right to roam, and cities that blend seamlessly into nature.
Why I Want to Visit
Stockholm is a city on fourteen islands where you can swim in the center and kayak between neighborhoods. Swedish Lapland offers northern lights and the ICEHOTEL, while the archipelago promises endless summer days.
Planned Itinerary
Eight days split between city and nature:
- Stockholm (3 days) - Gamla Stan, Vasa Museum, Fotografiska, archipelago island-hopping, Sodermalm
- Gothenburg (2 days) - Feskekorka seafood, Haga district, west coast archipelago
- Swedish Lapland (3 days) - Abisko northern lights, dog sledding, ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjarvi
What I’m Most Excited About
- Stockholm archipelago island-hopping on a summer evening
- Northern lights from Abisko, one of the best viewing spots on earth
- A proper Swedish fika with cinnamon buns and strong coffee
- Sleeping in the ICEHOTEL, a room sculpted from frozen river water
