Perito Moreno is one of the few glaciers in the world that is still advancing rather than retreating. This massive wall of ice stretches 5 kilometres wide and rises 60 metres above the water, constantly calving enormous chunks of ice into Lago Argentino with thunderous crashes.

The walkways along the glacier offer multiple viewpoints at different heights, letting you witness this living, breathing force of nature from every angle.

Pro tip: Book a “mini trekking” excursion to actually walk on the glacier with crampons. The ice caves and blue crevasses are stunning up close. Dress in warm layers even in summer.
