Iguazú Falls
Parque Nacional do Iguaçu, Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil
Open in Google Maps →A system of 275 waterfalls stretching nearly 3 kilometres along the border of Brazil and Argentina, Iguazú Falls is one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders on Earth. The thundering Devil’s Throat — the tallest cascade at 80 metres — creates a permanent rainbow in its mist.
The Brazilian side offers the best panoramic views, while the Argentine side lets you get up close to the falls via walkways suspended over the rushing water.
Pro tip: Visit both the Brazilian and Argentine sides for the full experience. The Brazilian side gives the best overview photos, while the Argentine side puts you right on top of the falls.
