Feria de Abril
In Seville’s Los Remedios district, a fairground of more than 1,000 candy-striped casetas (tents) appears for one week of nonstop flamenco, fino sherry, and sevillana dancing. Days belong to the horse parades — riders in traditional traje corto, women on horseback in flamenco dress; nights belong to the casetas, which roar with music until 4 AM.
Pro tip: most casetas are private (family- or club-run) but the city runs public casetas with the same atmosphere — look for ones marked “publica.” Wear the dress code: traje de flamenca for women, traje corto or suit for men. Don’t show up before 10 PM.
